Deeper Learning

  • 1) Finding Your Story

    • Every great video begins with a story worth telling.

      Ask yourself:

      • What environmental issue matters most to you?
      • What story isn't being told?
      • Who needs to hear it?

      Mini Challenge

Write your video idea in just one sentence.

Don't worry about making it perfect. Your idea will evolve as you learn and create throughout the challenge.

      Starter Activity: Story Spotting

Over the next few days, keep a "Story Spotting" list on your phone or in a notebook. Look for:

      • Something in nature that inspires you
      • An environmental problem you notice in your community
      • Someone taking positive action for the planet
      • A question about the environment that you'd like answered

Write down at least three observations.

Then ask yourself: Which one would make the most interesting one-minute story?

Remember: powerful stories don't have to be global. Some of the most impactful stories start in your own neighborhood, school, or backyard.

  • Scriptwriting tips: Don’t just count on AI. Use this to help you organize your thoughts and goals.

    • Canva can be a great tool for video editing.
